Moldova-Romanian co-production takes top prize in C EU Soon work-in-progress programme as MIA market hands out project prizes.

The feature project The Circle / Cercul, directed by Valeriu Andriuță and produced by Iulia Andriuță (Amprenta Films), has been awarded the prestigious Screen International Award at the MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivoin Rome. This honour was presented during the closing of the 11th edition of MIA Market, one of Europe’s most significant audiovisual industry events, which brings together professionals, distributors, and decision-makers from around the world.
Selected within the C EU Soon work-in-progress programme — a showcase dedicated to European films seeking international distribution — The Circle stood out among a competitive slate of projects for its compelling storytelling, artistic ambition, and clear potential for global resonance.
The Screen International Award offers The Circle valuable editorial coverage from Screen International, enhancing its visibility among international programmers, sales agents, and festival selectors ahead of its release and festival run.
This recognition marks an important milestone for the project and reinforces Amprenta Films’ growing presence on the international co-production scene.
