New Year’s Eve, 1999. During a hunting party in a rural area, a man is fatally shot. The local prosecutor quickly classifies the case as an accidental hunting death. Agachi, a young investigator at the beginning of his career, is sent from the capital to confirm the official version. Intrigued by inconsistencies in the case, he begins an informal investigation that disrupts the fragile balance of a community shaped by fear, personal ties, and the lingering reflexes of the old system. What initially appears to be a simple formality gradually turns into a test of conscience.

In 2017, Valeriu Andriuta embarked on his directorial project, a trilogy of shorts inspired by Moldova, his birthplace.
